Payment Schedule

The below payment schedule is provided as an option for breaking up payments into more manageable amounts. You may make full payments to simplify accounting as you prefer or may need alternative payment arrangements due to a personal circumstance. All payments listed below are per person, and due on or before the listed date.

Due with Registration: $200 Commitment Fee*

(refundable until March 1, 2027)

March 1, 2027: $500 Deposit

*The March 1, 2027 payment completes the $700 deposit payment due (assuming earlier $200 commitment fee received). The “split” deposit payment arrangement is provided as an option for those who prefer to wait to purchase trip insurance policies after the new year, from January -March 2027, when prices and options are likely to be better. The initial $200 is required as a show of your commitment to this experience, while allowing you to to hold your place on the trip until March 1, 2027. From this date, Travel the Text must have received full deposit payment of $700 in total for each trip participant for your trip and your registration will be confirmed.

Trip Insurance & Deposit Payment Timeline: We advise you to purchase trip insurance as close to March 1, 2027 as possible. In the eyes of most insurance providers, the “initial trip deposit” is usually defined as the first non-refundable payment made toward trip cost. In this case, the initial $200 commitment fee remains refundable until the registration deadline on March 1, 2027. Some policies, including “Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)” or “Cancel Anytime” require purchase within 10-20 days of the initial formal trip deposit. As the commitment fee remained refundable until this date, the total deposit amount of $700 should be covered by your insurance policy but it remains your personal responsibility to confirm all of these details with your preferred insurance agent and policy preferences.

May - July 2027: Flight Purchase!

Anticipated timeframe for budgeting flight purchase. More details to be provided after April 2027 when flight options are released for our trip dates. Flight cost is estimated at $1,500+ for round trip airfare from Nashville (BNA) to Tel Aviv (TLV) airports (estimate only, final cost determined by airlines, class of airfare, and specific itinerary preferred). 

September 15, 2027: $2,500 Payment Due

January 15, 2028: $1,000 per person*

+ $985 single supplement for private room (if applicable)

+ Any additional accommodation payments due for early or late departure requests

*All pre-trip payments due must be received no later than January 15, 2028 as we must send final payment immediately to our trip providers in Israel. Thank you!

Due on Arrival in Israel: $300 cash per person

Please bring this final payment in cash on arrival for your contribution for the group tips. Please request large bills from your bank and bring clean $100s if possible as local providers can receive a higher rate of exchange. Bills that are torn, marked, or too old cannot be exchanged into shekels by our local service providers. These funds go to our local facilitators and guides, drivers, hotel dining, housekeeping, valet, site and excursion experience cash payment needs. Thank you for helping us take care of all who will take care of you!

The Refund Policy for the 2028 Israel Study Trip is as follows:

Full refund less *non-refundable $200 administrative fee for cancellations received after registration deposit deadline of March 1, 2027.

Full refund less $700 deposit for cancellations received 180-90 days prior to March 26, 2028.

Full refund less $3,000 for cancellations received 90-61 days prior to March 26, 2028.

No refund of any pre-trip payments made for cancellations received 60 days or less prior to March 26, 2028.

*Travel the Text refund policy is developed in line with local accommodation and service provider policies. Full refunds for all prepaid deposits are allowed for cancellations received by Travel the Text prior to the March 1, 2027 deadline for registered participants of this March 26-. April 9, 2028 Israel trip. Full refunds of all payments will be issued within 60 days of written cancellation notification received by Travel the Text via email to: Jamie@travelthetext.com
